No, really, even if you are completely 100% innocent, do not talk to the police about anything. Ever.
It’s called the 5th Amendment, use it, live it, love it.

Having actually been arrested, I can attest to the wisdom of this. Be very polite, and simply say, “Thank you officer but I would prefer to not say anything until my lawyer is present.”
